Samantha’s first QSO
ARISS announces that on Monday 15th December 2014 at 15:18:40 UTC has been scheduled a contact with a school located in South Italy.
ARISS’s note, reports that the contact will be conducted in Italian, that means that IZ0UDF Samantha Cristoforetti, the ESA astronaut recently arrived aboard the Intenational Space Station, will be at the microphone.
European ham radio operators or scanner listeners will have the opportunity to hear the first Samantha’s QSO from the ISS, and as always, downlink frequency will be 145.800 MHz FM.

ARISS stands for Amateur Radio on the International Space Station.
ARISS is a project run astronauts on the ISS who also own an ham radio license.
