The excellent ICOM IC-7300 is the FIRST stand alone Amateur Radio Transceiver that uses true direct sampling SDR technology PLUS also includes an internal antenna tuner and 100 watts RF output. Super fast Real Time spectrum display, no lagging doggy ones here

The Precision VXO (PVXO) and its matching Crystal Test Fixture (CTF) were created to provide a low cost means of evaluating the characteristics of crystals and a means of measuring their series resonant frequency.
This Return Loss Bridge has been designed to characterize the input impedance of a receive strip, and the output impedance of a transmit strip
Nice affordable Transceiver for Amateur use, but understand the caveats. Receiver performance is actually good, however the fair to poor ergonomics, hissy receive audio and fan noise just in receive mode make a sour outcome for SWL use
This project is a 40 meter to 6 meter CW “no tune” transverter using ten 2N2222 transistors and one 2N2907. The transverter requires 2 watts of drive from a 40 meter cw transceiver and outputs 2 watts on 6 meters.
I give the Now Long Discontinued ICOM IC-756 PRO II (2) a luke warm Thumbs Up for Shortwave Listening use due to it is fair to poor receive audio quality. The matching power supply and speaker fare even less . But as a hybrid DSP set for the Amateur who will be transmitting as well as receiving, the PRO II is a good deal in my view.
